Sunroof still wouldn't open fully-just thought I would press the triangular thingy at the front of the sunroof between the visors & could feel/hear a click,in fact the plastic thingy felt quite loose,so out with the sunroof. The whole triangular piece was loose partly because the special shoulder screw bushes were loose but also because the glass filled plastic sunroof moulding boss into which the centre screw fastens the plastic thingy to the roof had become detached from the roof.
Some superglue later, with all screws properly tightened,(under black blanking screws),refitted roof & now opened to what appeared to be the fully open position-but a little touch on the plastic thingy allowed further movement-it seems difficult to get the plastic so that there is no movement in it at all .
Also, ref starting problems,I noticed that just turning on the ignition results in a tiny kick to the tacho needle & then cranking the engine gives multiple tiny kicks in sequence with engine rpm-whereas if there is no reference signal, none of these kicks occur.

I did start to do a Martini restoration some years ago but got really put off by the seta cloth issue.
Now I will have to see how much nerve I have to run this car past the Mrs, my stock is low at the moment so chances not good!

the real problem with a Martini 924 is that the exact seat cloth is totally unobtainium
