924 or 924 Lux

A basic 924 was made with no sunroof and wind up windows etc. This was the basic car in many countries but for the UK market the 'Lux pack' was specified as. You can sometimes find a right hand drive car without sunroof or electric windows (I nearly bought on in 1995) but they are rare.

I think I know the answer. If I am wrong I am sure '924 Nutter' will correct me.

What does that make it - a 924 ½LUX
Gave the car away last year, too claustrophobic without a sunroof!
Cheers

electric windows
electric and colour coded mirror
4 stereo speakers
3 spoke steering wheel
alloys
*edited to add:* rear wiper
In europe this above was all optional, but the alloys were a no cost option from 1980 onwards.
It was deemed in the UK that a poverty spec 924 was indeed quite unattractive so the "lux" pack was the entry level.

Unfortunately where I am sitting, I don't have access to this. Can anyone please do a look up for the exact "924 LUX" spec as described by Mr Morgan? Only then one is able to distinguish what is actually original to one's car and what is the exact specification of the "924 lux" pack which *if I recall correctly* was standard for the UK.
I am speaking from having owned a 924 lux here in the UK of MY 1983 and to compare, a standard 924 of MY 1983 deleivered for the German market and imported into Belgium where I lived at the time.
So, to compare:
My standard version had: manual windows, manual door mirrors in a black plastic housing, (similar as could be found in the later 944 cup cars and the 924 Carrera GTS)- following picture of Ebay germany illustrates these mirrors-
an -optional- sunroof, a plastic two spoke steering wheel + plastic gear selector, no rear wiper, no rear spoiler
Hope this helps,
Bert
