924 seats

Hi,

Was looking for a bit of advice on trying to sort out my seats! I have a 1985 924, cream (not official colour prob!) half leather seats, absolutely worn through! I wasnt planning to keep the car so wasnt worried, but after an accident in my 944 (now dead!) I have been back driving her and am now thinking I will keep her for mostly sentimental reasons! My question is if I was able to get 944 seats would they be hard to fit (I am not very mechanically minded when it comes to cars!) If not what economicly sensible solutions have people come up with??

Vague memories of my father putting woolly sheepish covers on his many years ago.....what was he thinking!

Any advice appreciated!

Gareth

Hi

Sorry to hear about the 944.

Swapping the seats is very easy 4 bolts on each seat. Slide seat forward to get at back ones and back for the fronts. You will need a 10mm socket. The bolts go through runners and the nuts are welded in place in the floor.

If you change the rear seats check you get the correct ones for a later 924 with the press button seat release (assuming that's what your car has which it should) and also avoid the split rear seats which were fitted to later 944s.
