Hi
Can anyone help? I have been working on a 1982 Porsche 924 (non-turbo) and finally got it going after having diagnosed a timing fault. However, the engine is running far too rich, making it extremely rough and difficult to start. I have tried carefully adjusting the screw on top of the fuel distribution unit, but this makes little difference: the engine will not rev above 3000rpm, and the plugs instantly get black.
The cold start injector is behaving correctly (no leaks and cuts out after a few seconds), there are no vacuum leaks in the air intake pipes, and the timing is correct.
Any ideas would be welcome.
