The 924S is, I think, a wonderful 'wolf in sheeps clothing' car, it has been the most fun as well as cheap car to own I have ever had. It is also fast, reliable, economical and has the capacity to carry much more 'stuff' than most sports cars.

The rest of the later model Porsches probably would never have been built if it wasn't for the 924 saving the day for the Company!

Don't tell anyone cos I want to keep it a secret but the Turbo is even better.
Please PORSCHE Bring back the 924 the world needs cars like these.
It is the longest I have ever owned a car and I doubt I will ever sell it whilst I have garage space.
The fact that it is cheap to insure on classic limited mileage and has a low market value means that I don't feel any pressure to sell it.
It is a great handling car, sounds great and I can fit two people in the back including a wheel chair (try that in a Boxster or 911!)
The 924 is one of the bargains of the sports car world and one of the most rewarding to drive and own. If you don't own one then BUY ONE NOW!

Every morning as I draw the curtains, always brings a smile to my face!!!
As MJG says above, no one knows its a porsche so you can park it in the supermarket with confidence ( when I did that with a 911 I wasn't sure if I'd see it again or vandalised.
The mid range torque of the 924S is simply exhilarating showing a clean pair of heels to the competition who just can't figure it out.
Only wish it sounded like the flat six of trhe 911 or the low growl of the 928 V12 .
Cheers

I like the 924 because it saved the company from financial ruin in the 1970's etc etc but also its the baby of the Porsche range and probably the most humble and under estimated little car. Thats why I like the 924.

Yep, So's the Turbo! > Carrera GT, > 944, >968 etc
That's why the 924 is such an important Porsche, historically.
