Hello guys,

i am pretty sure that someone here would know the answer.
I have a 924 Turbo (series 2) 81MY and I would like to have the Warm Up Regulator reconditioned.
Any ideas of who could rebuild it for me ?
Ive heard that John Mitchel used to do that, and I tried to contact him a year ago, but never got an answer from him.

Anyone else ?

I would appreciate your help as my car is off the road for a long long time now due to a faulty WUR and I am not happy with that

Thnx

Not sure if this will help but if you have the K Jetronic system favoured by Audi at that time ( and the 924 & turbo used an Audi 100 block ) which is possible I had a problem with the WUR on an Audi Coupe.

The book said it could not be stripped but when I removed it from the side of the block I found that it had Allen bolts holding the two halves together, I removed these, opened it up and cleaned all parts, the bi-metal strip had a build up of dirt around the position of the feed orifice which I polished using metal polish then carefully reassembled.

It never gave me another problem.

http://www.kmipetrolinjection.co.uk/ = circa £180. Fully cleaned, new diaphragm and looking as new.

Then main culprit for WUR issues is crap in the intake filter. Has been known to be cleaned up DIY and there are a few How To's if you google them.

You may need to re calibrate your cold and hot control pressures again after tampering with a WUR.

Any more on this ?
Anyone tried this company ?

Still have the same issues with it

The previous owner to me used KMI for the WUR and fuel distributor refurbishment. Still going fine after 4+ years

Love the replies, but if i remember corectly the warm up regulator on the turbo is different to the normally aspirated 2.0, but then again I haven't been under the bonnet of one for five years.
