924s cambelt intervals

What is the cambelt changing interval for a 924s and should you do the balance belt and tension rollers at the same time? Genuine or non-genuine parts best?

It's the same engine as the 944, so 4 years/48K miles is official, I'd suggest 3 years/36K miles to play safe. Over 4 years I'd not turn the key, personally.

Yes, you'll likely need to change everything else if it's not been done. It's suggested that the water pump is changed every 2 belt changes. Mine needed all the rollers and the oil seals replacing.

Why not use genuine? The difference isn't worth the risk to my thinking. Check the usual sources in the 944 faqs. [:)]
 
I totally agree with Paul.

If over 30K change the belts and rollers
If you don't know the mileage change everything.

It just isnt worth the risk. If you belts beak you engine is scrap..

The above does not apply to 2 litre 924 models.
