924S engine upgrades

Any idea what the sensible limit is for tuning the 2.5litre 924S engine? Ok, I know it's down to the individual what is sensible....... [;)]

Just wondered how far these can be tuned before you might as well buy something else. Might you get 200bhp without breaking the bank? or 225bhp? or 250bhp???

I don't see much info anywhere on tuning the 2.5 engine. Any thoughts? Who are the best independents for the 924S? I use Parr for servicing as they are close and good, but I don't think they know the 924 as well as people like Hartech (who unforunately are miles away from me)

Hook out the 8 valve lump and put in a 16v. Bosh! 190 brake. Gas flow the head of the 16 valver and you should go some way to eliminating the 16v engines comparative lack of torque, but when it gets to 3800 rpm, bloody 'ell. Investigate the compatability of the engine management systems. Simon Butterworth Races a 3 litre 924 with the 968 engine in it. Hmmm, 944 turbo power in a 924 body with no turbo lag. Dont forget about stopping it.
