924s fuel pump wiring Q

The electrical connections to my fuel pump were corroded and the wire terminals broke off in removing it to clean up. So, now i'm ready to replace things, but I notice that one of the pump terminals is bigger than the other - does anyone know if this is for the power or for the ground connection. I reckon power but i've destroyed the original evidence in removing the unit.

You could try using a multimeter to test for voltage to earth. Crank the engine and the power terminal will show 10.5v or so due to the load on the starter.

IIRC the larger terminal is for the live feed, I know someone who connected them the wrong way around (not me ;)) and the pump ran in reverse so it was trying to suck fuel from the engine!!

I've gone with + to yhe smaller terminal - based on some advice from differet sources. It is confusing though - i'll see how it goes. For info: the larger terminal has a blue plastic part to it.

Could well be I'm wrong Steve, I'll have a proper look at my car in the morning, there was too much snow tonight [;)]
