924S Power Steering rack

Guys,

Noticed the lack of power steering, both steering (bellows) gators? sound full of ATF..... the level of power steering fluid is also low....

Can I assume my steering rack is "shot".... any clues to how much it costs to replace ?

I had exactly the same on my 944.I went to get my car out of the garage and had a floor covered in oil,on close inspection I found both gatiers full of oil.
I got my rack reconditioned for £80 which I thought wasnt bad although you would get a second hand one reasonable price.
 
Best price for a reconditioned rack was £250.00, plus fitting and VAT =£450. Job done now, so car now has assisted steering..........
