Hi, am new to this forum but you've all been a great help so far on my other post. But now I need the car!!

Am looking for a 924s, preferably a late model version in red, white, black or silver though may consider another colour.

Must be low mileage with service history. Must also be in very good condition.

Am looking on various websites but if anyone hears of a good one for sale please get in touch. Am a car enthusiast so if you sell me your pride and joy it will be very well looked after!!

Good money paid for a great car, am in Rickmansworth, Herts but am wiling to travel almost anywhere for the right car.

email me at: jfinch73@hotmail.com

cheers, James

Yeah I saw that one, sounds ok but mention of dents puts me off. I can spend more so would rather get something a little minter with reams and reams of history. Have seen them advertised but missed them so I know they are out there!

Am sure it's a great car, but as doesn't inspire me that it's 'the one' for me.

Any other leads greatly appreciated.

Very, very few 924Ss are in the condition that youre looking for now. Id be surprised to see on myself. There was a time when 924Ss sold for a good deal more than late series one 944s and had a better image, but theyre very much the poor relation now...

Well if one turns up I have the cash here waiting!

Have seen a few advertised in last few months that sounded great but I missed them, will keep looking and not give up just yet.

take your pick on pistonheads now [:D]

- there's a red 21k miler for £3850, The White Le Mans is a just bit on the steep side (by a couple of grand IMO), the 42k white one could be a bargain (once you ditch those nasty wheels), and the black one looks tidy

..and a very nice looking red '88 on autotrader for £1900 - maybe the best value of the lot? - split rear seats (very unusual), rear 3 point inertia reel belts, slightly more power than previous years.
2 owners & looks very original

Go for the white Le Mans if you can afford it. It will always be worth significantly more than a standard 924S and it stands out from the crowd which a standard S struggles to do. Yes it is pricey but if it's an S you really want its exclusivity and history will pay dividends in the long run whereas a standard S is likely to appreciate very slowly as there are a lot of them around still.

....and I have a recollection that one sold at auction in recent months for around £5,000! Unlike edh, I own one of the 37 white S Le Mans imported in 1988 as well as one of the 37 black S Le Mans, 2 of the 100 1977 924 Martinis and soon one of the 100 1980 Le Mans, so I have a vested interest in keeping an eye on their values!
