We have a customer who wants to sell his 928 S4
93k miles
Diamond blue - painted a few years ago and the paint is faultless
Blue interior with linin leather inserts
Genuine 17" cup's
nice car

whats it worth?

Need to look past the paint... it will depend on the history and how well it has been maintained and looked after, if there is evidence to support that, what works (and more importantly what doesn't). Mileage for private purchase in my opinion is not such a big deal if the car has history to back it up (and the buyer wants one to use). As a prospective purchaser I'd be more interested in a 928 with documented, regular history, independently inspected and came with a written report and photos to substantiate the report. I've been looking for over a year, seen some S4s being advertised at £17k and over and getting little interest, £16k+ and selling for nearer £11k or which should have been sub-£10k, and a couple since Christmas which looked like really nice examples advertised for £14k and selling for £12-£13k within a matter of 2-3 days. For a really nice S4 with 100k miles, lots of history, inspection report (and low owners) I'd pitch at somewhere around £15k - which should generate some interest, and accept something around or just shy of that.

Regards

Colin

Thanks Colin. We have quite a few cars go through our business but not much experience with 928s so value your comments....

Hello Paul and Colin,
I'd just like to endorse Colin's comments as I purchased my S4 with 105k miles in April 2016 with thorough service history from Porsche inde specialists (like Zuffenhaus).
Good, recently checked mechanicals were its strong selling point (your's has the paint respray as its strong feature).
Body ext is good & int is very good.
All electronics working incl air con.
Everyone looks for when the cambelt & torque tensioner were last checked as a guide to a good current reliable runner.
Colin's suggested pricing looks good and fair for buyer and seller.
Good luck, certainly this good photo impresses,
Stuart

Thanks for feedback and especially those that took the time to call us at work. The 928 we had in has been advertised at a fair price and an offer has been received and deposit taken

Thanks very much to the 928ers!!!...
