928 Teledials

Good evening,gentlemen. As a new member, I'm hoping you can give me some advice. I'm looking to replace the Series 2 slots fitted by a previous owner to my '79 manual 928 for a set of the original teledials. However, I'm getting conflicting information on the actual fit - there's plenty of 944 teledials available but some people are suggesting they won't just bolt straight on. Also, can you tell me if it would have originally been fitted with 6" fronts and 7" rears or 7" all round? Many thanks in anticipation!
