930 brake improvements??

a friend has just bought an 88 930 and is not happy with the brakes, i have fitted new oe discs and greenstuff pads to mine but still not great. i know of someone that has fitted 928 calipers and pads but complains the car locks the front wheels now. i spoke to an engineer and he said the turbo probably soaks the vacuum from the servo meaning you have to stamp on the pedal to slow it down, thinking about this he is probably right because if you fit turbo brakes to an sc or 3.2 you end up with a good upgrade, he suggested fitting a pump off a diesel car to replace the air pump and that would improve the servo, sounds a bit heath robinson to me and what would happen if the pump failed at 90mph. anyway has anyone found a good 930 brake mod that works?
