930 - knackered turbocharger... Help?!?

Hi, the turbo has gone. I'm struggling to get the part reconditioned due to 'obsolete parts'. Obviously, it's a standard KKK. If I have to replace, where am I going to get one sensibly priced?... Or has anyone upgraded to an aftermarket turbocharger that they can recommend? Cheers, Martin

Speak to Jack at Autofarm (01865 331234)..... they have a good contact for getting them rebuilt.

AET Turbo' s are well respected. They can MFR parts for the 3LDZ. Or you can buy a K27 7200 as fitted to the 964 Turbo.
Either way its probably 800 pounds to get a Turbo .
I will be in the same boat with my 3LDZ as it is starting to smoke on start only and noticed damage on the turbine blade and corroded outlet.

Good luck

Advice from responses was very helpful, thanks! Autofarm were very helpful, but based on my location in the north and a quick turnaround for use this month, I took Tim's advice and bought a new upgrade K27 Turbo from AET. They were very helpful and got out a quick delivery, so all done and back on the road. Cost of the part was £1k including VAT and I would say it's worth paying. There is less lag and a better pull. I would say this would make a sensible modification for anyone in the similar position to myself. Thanks to those who offered advice!
