Hi,

I have a 1977 930 turbo, can anyone give me an insight on fitting a brake servo to my non powered brakes? e.g is it easyish and what would i need to do this?

Thanks alot Decka

Don't do it!
a) You're going away from originality, and despite what people tell you about 3.0 turbos brakes being no good, they are - provided that you push them hard enough!
b) Fitting the brake servo isn't simple, primarily due to the fact that the servo is in the front and the engine is at the rear.

+1 stories of 3. 0 ltr brakes are a fallacy ................keep them properly and they are fine , actually good .....lack of use and servicing are what cause negative remarks

I had concerns over my '75 Turbo brakes. Rather than go from standard I got the callipers reconditioned by a company in Chelford, Cheshire, skimmed the discs back to true and upgraded the pads to some sticky Ferodo ones - result the car now stops straight and true, with very little brake fade - in fact (because of the pads) the more I hammer them the better they get. Yes they are heavy, but you get a free work out at the same time!

Hi thanks for the reply, my idscs are almost new and have fitted green stuff pads. Brakes are good but wanted to know if they could be better but i think i will leave well alone.

thanks Decka
