944 / 968 'Round' Speakers and Grilles - Upper door panel

Hi
I am looking for some help ....!
I am looking for a set of the 'round' door speakers/tweeters and more importantly the 'round grilles' which sit in the 'upper' part of the door trim.
These speakers may be 'tweeters' however I'm not sure.
Does anybody know where I can obtain a set or if they are indeed Porsche standard items.
The grilles sit virtually flush with the black upper panel of the door trim.
Any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards

Andrew

Even the 944 with 10 speaker upgrade had a sort of parallelogram shaped tweeter cover there. I think only the (non-CS) 968 had the ones you are after and it may even have been an option on them too.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Looking at the picture, the 968's did indeed have a round cover. from the looks of it, the entire door panel was different though, so i'm not sure if they'd retro-fit to the 944 panel. If you want them, I'd look at a few of the breakers for them, or go to the dealer (with your wallet!)

Yep.........those are the ones in the photo that I mean !
Any idea of a well stocked breaker ? Names /nos would be welcomed.....
Is this a picture from a breakers ??
Do you think Porsche still do the 944 parallelogram version and the 968 round , as a part to order then ??
Cheers
Andy

no idea. it'll probably take a few phone calls to find one (and then it's a maybe!). try porsch-apart, berlyn services, clubautosport, and there's probably a few more that I don't recall this early on a Sunday.

The dealer will probably have the 968 ones available (although you may have to wait for them to come from Germany), as it's less than 10 years old, but they may not have the 944 ones.

I had a look in PET and the options are so extensive and mind boggling that the odds on tracing a particular door card are pretty much incalculable.

The only good news is, despite changing many panels between the 944 and the 944 MkIII (aka 968) the doors have the same part number so a 968 door card might fit.

The 968 door card will fit. Other than one hole will be redundant and one new hole to be drilled.
