944 Brochure ?

Hi
Has anybody got a 944 1986 ish or 'ovaldash' Sales Brochure that they could scan in or email to me ?
I'm looking to buy my first 944 and would like to find out particularly the 'original style seats' in a Lux or S model.
I've seen the 'Half Leather' and 'Porsche Logo' seats with 'large/sporty' side cushions but not on all cars. Were these 'sports' seat the standard seat or an extra and are they popular or very rare ??
I would also like to find out what the exact original specs for the interior was, hence the request for a brochure !
Any help / advice would be welcome

Andy

Hi Andy,

You can regularly get the brochure's on Ebay for around £10.00

Sports interiors were an option and are quite desirable.

If you are looking for a car get one that's sound first and worry about the interior and options later, you can frequently but full leather sports interiors from the breakers they go for about £600 for a good one.

HTH, Tim.

Original specs were cloth centres with vinylcloth bolsters, vinyl door cards and non-sport seats. You can tell a sport seat because the backrest in particular has very pronounced bolsters low down. Non-sport seats are still not flat by any means, but if you are in doubt that a seat is sport then it probably isn't. All seats have electric height adjustment, independent front and back. All steering wheels and gear knob/gaitors were leather, and in the interior colour.

The cloth available around '86 was pinstripe velour, 'studio' (a big tartan type pattern) and I think 'Logo' (may have started slightly later) which is my preference being a single colour, hard wearing fabric with the word Porsche embroidered across it in diagonal stripes of the same colour as the fabric. Colours for '86 (until '89 in fact) were burgundy, marine (dark) blue, black and (I think, although again it may have come slightly later) linen which is cream basically, and with door caps and dash top/headlining in one of the dark colours. Carpets are coloured, including boot carpet.

Options were sports seats, heated seats, electric backrest rake, electric forward/back movement, leather facings on front seats with vinylcloth backs, rear seat and door cards, full leather or full cloth. There was also a cloth insert option for the door cards. Rear seats could be one piece or split folding.

Many thanks both.....I have seen the 'sport' seat and would recognise it, I'll continue to trawl ebay !!!.
If any one knows of a nice 'zermat silver 944' 86 onwards perhaps they could post here...
Many thanks
Andy
