hi

dont know if anyone else was in the same situation as me, having a decent 944 but no garage.

I have been looking for a decent car cover for a whilst, I was told by a friend that has a classic 911 to try car covers uk, they seemed a little expensive for the ones that they recommended for the 944 (£269 +vat+del) but the helpful guy I talked to told me to search on ebay as they had just recently acquired a sellers account.

they listed the above outdoor cover in silver grey with a starting price of just £60 and £8 delivery. I won it at the starting price. Happy Days [:D] so thanks to everyone on here that didnt bid, and a big massive thumbs up to car covers uk.

its the best money I have spent on the car so far, its brilliant, completely tailor made and the car looks as it did when I put the cover over it (pristine) [8D]

so if your looking for one keep an eye out on ebay.

I even looked at renting a garage, but local authority ones seemed to be £17 a week, and you never know who'c going to brak in to see what's in there do you?. Looked at covers and having read some opinions about moisture retention I went for a triple layer breathing one from Specialised Car Covers.

This seems to work well, and the bonus is that it's tailored so when the straps are fastened there's no flapping and chafing. Also a choice of colours (green blends in with the hedge the car lives next to!)Worth every penny of c£200, much cheaper than a garage.....ordered at the NEC show and got a discount too.

£17.00 per week ![8|] crikey..... social housing rents are only £70.00 per week. This is obviously a cunning new plan for local authorities to raise revenue . Rent garages to Porsche owners[:D]
