944 Daily Driver?

Hello all. I'm contemplating buying a second Porsche, specifically a 944, with a view to using this for my daily commute (10 miles each way) as well as some weekend driving too. I've read the useful buyers guide links on this forum so know more about the various model differences. Am I being realistic about using a 944 as a daily driver? Which model would be best suited for the purpose? I'd love a Turbo but perhaps an S2 would be more realistic? I have a budget of up to 5k although the lower the better. I also have no mileage hangups. Thanks! Les.
