944 door removal

I have been restoring my 944 for the past few months, repairing the floor and sills.

I am now ready to weld the middle and outer sill in place but need to remove the drivers door.

How do you remove the wiring harness that goes from the door to the cabin.

I expected to find a connector in the loom goinf to the door but there doesn't seem to be one.

I had a similar question due to a dodgy wiring for my passenger window and I fear that your's may be the same as mine in that the loom goes all the way back to the main fuse box and there isn't a separate 'door-loom' for the door. You'll probably need to carefully disconnect everything and feed it out of the door before you remove it. If I am wrong someone will correct me shortly hopefully but I couldn't find a connector - (and since the drivers side window control still works for the passenger window I never went any further.

connector is deep under the dash , it's a big rectangular black multipin connector .

They are under the fuse box back in the corner behind all the wiring , remove the side carpet and follow the wire to them

I found the connectors thanks for your help.

Porsche didn't make it easy did they.

No the did not.
I also have to take another look at it, i may have forgot to connect part of the rear harness last time i was in there. Maybe that's why i don't have power to the boot light and rear window.
