Dont want them all to know.
BTW, Promax are shaking down the car tomorrow with its final test and set up adjustments so if all`s well I`ll pick it up latest Saturday this week.
I`m shaking in case the wife finds out the cost [&:] however all being well and once SWMBO has taken some Mogadon for a day or so after she realises the cost of all this really really necessary work [][] I hope to see you all at Silverstone [8D]

Nudge - Bedford on the 24th. Go on, go on, go on []
Oh all right then, who`s it with??
Mind you I have a cycling valve issue reported by Promax so its losing a bit of boost but I cant afford any more expense so I`ll be doing it meself (probably after Bedford) when I`ll pressure test all the vacuum lines and pipes.

Please go slowly round the corners, those of us with Koni and Leda shocks need all the help we can get
Thommo, this is the one going on my car in about 2 weeks. I've been in contact regularly with Dave who is C.E.P. and he's a very good vendor to work with plus he is the designer of the system so he know's what he's talking about. He also does excellent headwork one of which will also find it's way to Australia! Did you check that link I left for you on R-list re the 'RS' conversions? They look very nice in my book.ORIGINAL: tommo951
They look good, but I prefer these ones http://www.customengineeredperformance.com/products.html . there is less of a pan. Therefore you can mount the engine lower, thereby reducing the CofG.
Are the Havik ones just sump pans or complete kits?

We normally go to several of the Goldtrack Silverstone evenings that they run in July, Aug and September but they haven't agreed any dates yet.
I think the next 944 track day will be the PCGB Donington day on April 4th which several of us are already booked on []

Dont worry, I need better kit cos I`m a cr*p driver. On a serious note, I havent the bottle I once had ever since I rolled my stupidly quick/brutal G27. I`ll be better when I`ve installed full harnesses and a roll cage though []
Anyway Paul, what tyres will you be on?

I need some engine oil as mine uses some (especially when thrashed) and as its just been in Promax having a load of work done which included an oil/filter change, I went with Royal Purple as recommended by Promax and decided to run with their recommendations.
I`ll have to say that I was surprised and am impressed as the drain down issues I had when the car was left for a few days (ie: tappets rattled until pressure came up) have been much much reduced. Also the warm oil pressure was just below 3 and is now just above (same tickover speed) so I wanted to ask Andy or Roger where else I could get it.
Needless to say Andrew S is going to Bedford this saturday and will bring me some, thanks Andrew.
I also had a slightly whiney (could get annoying although it wasnt particularly loud) gearbox when warm on long journeys so I asked them to change the old stuff. Ironically the Royal Purple gear box oil has silenced it and my gearbox at the moment is whisper quiet (which I hope is a good thing []).
Will report progress after Bedford as I have asked Andrew S to try my car re the K3 as (his was to fitted with it but apparently will not have it now in time for Beford [&:]) so I value his expertise in seeing if mine is `optimum` and look forward to the experience.
ITS GOING TO BE WET !!!!!!!!!!!!!!................easy on the boost chaps []
