944 Dyno Day Saturday 10th June 2006

I've just spoken to Allan at www.weltmeister.co.uk (again) and this years Dyno Day is now booked for Saturday 10th June starting at 9am and finishing when we get through everyone.

There is a strict maximum of 30 cars and if we can get the full amount the price will be £30 cash. Anything under 30 cars will be £35. This year it will be RWD cars only as it takes a lot of time to reconfigure the rollers for 4WD or FWD

My poll at the beginning of the month revealed 37 interested folk so now is the time to confirm on this thread that you can make it. I'll update this first post as we go along so it's easy to keep track. As before I'd like 6 volunteers to definitley be there for 9am and 6 to be there for 11am, after that it's first come first served.

If you thought you saw an earlier post with an earlier date - you were dreaming ok?

Meeee!

Can I put the hearse on first reserves list in case we don't get 30 Porkers, MTGQ will be there.

Hi Paul

Count me in again this year, however can I please book a morning slot as last time I was 3rd from last. []

I don't mind running late in the day as I'll be busy with the graphs and I don't know ahat time baby WUF will arrive.

Rick.

I see a lot of these Dyno Days things spoken about... what exactly happens? and what do you get for your cash?

I forgot to say I can be there quite early. Even if I bring the hearse (so trailer the '44) I can be there by 11.

Well, where do I start? There is a lot of standing about, chatting, taking the P, and other blokie sorts of stuff.

Periodically cars are strapped to the Rollers of Truth and have the living daylights reved out of them. As a result of this automotive torture a graph is produced demonstrating the power (or lack of) torque, air fuel ratio and boost pressure delivered by your pride and joy.

How cool is that?

Paul - Please count me in.

I'd like an early as poss slot please as I want to get back home/to the pub in time for England v Paraguay at 2pm. [:D]

BTW, picked the car up last night from ProMAX after having the DPW, MAF and ESS Oval Box fitted yesterday. Oh.... My.... God.... The car has been transformed into something incredibly driveable - it honestly feels like a different beast. Lag, what lag? It sounds the dogs do-dahs too without being at all intrusive in the cabin, so thanks to all of you who vouched for the zorst.

Off out to play with the boost controller shortly...

This gets worse []

The Grand Prix is on Sunday 11th and Northants will be gridlocked all weekend for the qualifying and I very much doubt we'd even be allowed onsite if we could get there.

Back to the drawing board, I'll call Allan on Monday to see if the next weekend is free (though that does clash with Le Mans)

Nothing is ever easy (and the last of my hair has just been pulled out[8|])

Paul

I think changing the date of the GP sounds fair, but in case Bernie won't play ball what about 20th May, coming a week back from the original suggestion?

That would be great for me as it's the nearest to my birthday & I may be sent out with extra vouchers for goodies.

I'd love to say yes for definate, but I may be back abroad by then. I guess I'll just have to take my chances nearer the day...... []

I'm leaning towards the 20th May myself as there seems to be too much going on the later in the year we leave it.

My only worry is that selfishly it won't leave much time to get my own car fully run in ( you Scottish tourists have a lot to answer for [:D] )
