Any idea what 944 front wings would look like on a 924 without putting the rear panels on?...Photo's if possible...it must have been done ..

Ive seen it done on a race car, they fit but didnt look right and where they join the sill the wing will sit about 1.5" proud !!

Thanks ..Thought so...
I'm really Struggling to find Decent 924 wings..Been offered both sides (944 wings) for £50..
Never mind..NEXT!

you could always put the 924 carerra GT extended archs on the back to weigh out the 944 front wings.

I don't like the Rear arches...Extension...
but looking at my car with battle wounds is Depressing!

Yes..I bid on one last week (Same seller)...Think it went for £55...
I'll Bid again this Time...you never Know there may be a Passenger one in the near Future [8|]
Thanks for the Post though....

I'm Actually Getting Sick of Looking...I may Jump Ship and get a Lotus Excel SE...
In a Moment of madness Last week.... I offered the S to Someone for Free!

Thought about a few things in the past 10 days that mines been off the road, been looking at Audi Coupes, BMW 3 series coupes, then went and bought another 924 that does run [&:]

That's the Problem..It Runs Great.belt etc Done in November 07 Interior Very good No rips..No dash cracks.....but It looks so unhappy with that Big bump! Nothing worse than a neglected Classic!..Although it isn't neglected...Just Difficult to correct without Paying out more than the Car is Worth!....Plus ...that the Accident was My fault... it's like Torture...

The gold wing thats on ebay at the minute is in about the same condition that one of mine was when I bought it on the bay, only cost £150 at a good body shop to have it stripped back and repainted, a quality body shop can custom order paint from your fuel cap cover and it shouldn't cost much more that an off the shelf colour.
So long as there aren't any dents in it then it should look like new ocne you get it back, the things only bolt on so its only an afternoon job to cut back the seam sealer (they must have had shares in the stuff because Porsche used heaps sealing the wings on!!)
unbolt the wing, fit the new one and apply a fresh layer of seam sealer and you're good to go

"The Gold wing" is the the one I posted fron RS Classics?
As it does have dent in....But I now have a Parking dent...same side

I have an early (W Plate 924) which is shortly destined for the graveyard as it is beyond economical repair. It is complete and a low mileage example (64k) the only thing I require from the car is the auto box which I have promised to a friend. Anyone needing any early 924 bits please let me know your wishes. Not sure if the wings are compatible with a 924S of your vintage, but will have a look at the car later today and report on their condition.

As a matter of interest also I also have a two tone 924 Turbo again low mileage but worthy of money being spent, a 86 Alpine white 944 and a '89 Dove Blue Metallic 944S2, thats it as far as the Porsche's go but also tucked away is a BMW 840Ci which is a really tasty touring car.

Ohhhh what has retirement done to me!!!!!

Hey Stu,
I'm Sure the Wings are the same...Although I know some didn't have side repeaters....
There are a few little bits I would mind replacing...
where are you based?
Thanks

A good way south of you mate, Kent/London borders, you are welcome to the complete car but it would need trailering away, as far as I am aware all the mechanicals are in good order, just the front of the body/sunroof let it down. Alternatively let me have a list of the bits you require, my only problem is finding time to remove them, but sure we could work something out.

Cheers Stu
