There is a PCGB Gallery here on the forum somewhere - I believe there might some pictures of my car in it. [;)]

However, if you have several months free you could trawl through Rick's "Events" pages. I strongly believe that if your car isn't there somewhere you haven't actually got a Porsche.

See http://www.cannell3.co.uk/Events.htm

The website is currently being replaced, so I've not worried about the gallery etc.

It will all materialise shortly, says Nic....[;)]

No idea....

Current state of play seems to be that the PCGB members pay a lot of money to support the Club. Everyone is agreed that the website is not perfect, but as it's been run by volunteers it's not been possible to improve it, and all credit is due to the IT team who have built and maintained the current site on a voluntary basis.

As far as I am aware, a substantial amount of money has been allocated to impoving the website over the next few years. Please bear in mind that a lot of the planned impovements are technically difficult, and require a lot of man-hours to implement. As it's all changing, I've not bothered with the current 944 section. If anyone feels it's worth putting together a really good 944 Register area on the current site, please let me know and I'll do all I can to help.

Doesn't that just sound like IT talk for "Be prepared for a large bill!"

I'm registered a number of Fora and don't think the PCGB one is at all bad. I'd love to know why they think it needs changing. The 944 area seems to work pretty well (when the moderators sort themselves out) and it is the area with the highest frequency of posts.

As far as I'm aware the forum won't change, but the website will. It's just too big a project to be done by volunteers in their, obviously limited, spare time. At the last AGM or worker's conference, can't remember which, it was announced that the money has been allocated to get it done.

Whatever the arguments over the C of C, it does mean that money for projects like the website is now easier to budget.

I didn't know there was a gallery on the forum....very nice! [:)]

I know that the 944 section of the website is currently not really used. I don't have the time to do much with it, but I'm happy if anyone else wants to have a go. Official 944 Information Technology Assistant Register Secretary, anyone? I'll get you a badge, it will be a long one.....[8|]

But then it is probably Porsche AG who are insisting that the web site is rehashed in order to fit in with their corporate image....... QED

Aha - there you're wrong!

Again, my memory isn't perfect [&:], but as I recall there is a programme for Porsche clubs from AG. It was totally unsuitable for us, due to the size and complexity of the Club. Thus, a large lump of the annual C of C income is going to build a bespoke Club website that will be a world apart from the one we've got.

Of course, you will all be there at the AGM to ask questions about it? [8|]
