944 GT3

Ooooooh - group buy?? That really does seem a most reasonable price...

Even just for the carbon dash - with the oval dashes now starting to crack there will be demand for them!

Don't like the 968 rear end though....so I may give it a miss! [&:]

Wonder if it's had the belts done? [:)]

Still, a bit easier to check given that a) you can see it and b) the balance belt has departed.

Lightweight and powerful [8D], but it aint exactly pretty

Looks like a suitable donor car for our Group Britcar 24 hours entry [:)]

Shame it's actually costing less than my road car has cost me at the moment []

Really stupid question here chaps, but it seems to have two plastic picnic hampers in it.

What are they for?

Oli.

You know it's a pure racer when it has a "Longacre rear view mirror". That must save at least 3 grams!!

Lovely motor though. Love the square rear arch look.

Interesting "GT3" inlet manifold Peter

Standard item extrude honed and large T/Body

Lots of people change this, or would say the std one starves one cylinder, I am of the view that if the turbo's big enough, - there will be no stavation [:)].

The one in the front footwell is part of the Accusump dry sump system, possibly the remote oil tank is inside?

The one in the spare wheel well does look like it is a picnic hamper. Toolkit or possibly snacks and nibbles for those long stint endurance races ? :ROFLMAO:

I thought the one in the passenger side was the battery box?

The one in the back I can only think must be part of the driver-cool-suit system.

On second thoughts I think you could be spot on. You've been after a track 944 for years now, look's to me like this one is perfect :ROFLMAO:

The guy who had the car built has over £100,000 tied up in that car and has lost patience.
I think somebody mentioned that he has now bought a racing corvette
It needs a bit more development work but will be a beast. Its worth the price for the rolling shell alone.
Somebody could soon give it a coat of paint! Its a race car!
Nice place for the turbo though, no worries of heat under the inlet manifold!

We have a winner ladies and gents.
This car would be fast no doubt, but there are those in the know that I"ve spoken to who think it's a bit slap-dash put together. Don't like the air filter being right behind the radiator either. Also there's no relation to the real RUF outfit as far as engineering goes. Still I'm sure it would go like a bat outta hell!
