944 guards red paint

You could do worse than putting "auto paint st helens" in google. I have recommended this guy before and cant recommend him enough. Friendly extremely helpfull cheep and his colours always seem to match properly even Zermatt which other folks didnt. I dont know him or didn't until I found him on Google but he deserves every sale he gets.

Regards
Mas

where can i get a spray can of guards red paint

What shade of Guards Red? [&o]

I'm no paint expert, but I'd think it was worth getting an expert to try to match the paint exactly. If you just want a can of generic paint then anywhere from Halfords downwards will be able to sell you it.

Iirc don't Porscheshop just buy their paint from a place down the road and add their markup on top? Pretty sure somebody posted the link to the paint place directly a while ago.

I've used http://www.paints4u.com/default.aspx and got a good colour match in the past. If you search for red as opposed to guards red it brings back a selection. If you have the paint code it helps. I am pretty sure they call guards red indian red.

Will be on the sticker at the front of the manual or the one on the inside of the boot.

That Porscheshop price is exactly what puts me off shopping there. I'm sorry but they are time and time again proven to be dearer than other folk ( including OPC) for many things.

Try the link I gave or the paint shop the other chap gave if has has similar good experience. Unless you are going for shade matching then you just need a paint supplier who dies it correctly and at a fair price.

whats already been said, should have a sticker on the inside of the rear panel with the paint code on, Porscheshop are somewhere I'd ever recommend they just buy from everywhere else and then put 20% on for themselves, just look at their 924 sill replacements, they buy them for £10 each and sell them on for £90!!

Have to say that while I use Halfords for very little I have to say that they matched L90E perfectly, not the cheapest at £12 odd a tin but it was an excellent match and they'll be open today [;)]
