hello all,
I am a member who owns a 1988 944 turboSE and I have a question regarding the headlamp pods.
My car is fitted with the pods that raise on parking/sidelights setting with main lamps on dim, I understand this was in advance of an american law which never happened. Like many others with a car of this age, I dont like this setting and have looked for a way to stop this for many years! Thankfully the solution was on the Forum and after following the instructions my lamp pods stayed down, so i was very happy!
Unfortunately this blissful state has not lasted and my pods now do not go down at all, except for manual intervention. I detatched all the wiring and put everything back to original, but still the problem persists. I assumed that a fuse may have burned out, but they all appear ok and the pods go up as they should.
Has anyone else had the same problem or know of a solution? I would like to maintain the pods down as the Forum fix, but wonder if theres a more permanent solution than the short wires/spade connections?
Many thanks in advance for any help offered.
