944 Kit Car!

Went to the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show on Sunday...yes, I know, why would you want to, but I was following a friend as service car (carrying tools, spare wheel, etc). I only bought a few S/S pan head screws and some J clips (why do they always disappear then stuff falls off?). And anyway, a great drive for us up the Foss Way with almost no traffic!

Some awful stuff of course, but there's always a few interesting track day weapons. Amongst the wild kit cars was a Dutch sports car based on 944 bits...looked very nice, ideal for anyone with sound mechanicals but a rotten body. Wonder if it's much lighter?! I just picked up a flyer...web site is www.hensdyk.com. A sort of DIY Spyker?

Oh and I bought a 1:43 Corgi model of the 924 GTS, mint but unboxed. Anybody know if they were a promo of some sort...it seems amazing that they often crop up at these shows having survived unscratched!

The URL is wrong, it should be: http://www.heynsdyk.com/
interesting/challenging looks, but a good idea, my only issue is spending £14,000 for a kit to put my 211k mile engine and drivetrain into, probably need to spend a lot of time/money refurbing during teh build...

Thanks Jeremy...you're right, it's Heynsdyk.

Didn't realise it cost that much...maybe it'll appeal to the sort of people (also seen at Stoneleigh) who'd spend that sort of money making a Toyota MR2 look like a shortened Ferrari!!!

Nice looking car you have there Graham, I've posted you in the spotted thread [;)]

I was there on a work related jolly.

I didn't see this car but BMW drivetrains are becoming a more popular choice.
