I took my Turbo to the locally recommended body shop Saturday morning, since having all my my engine work completed the front panels and bumper havent sat as i'd liked. The gaps are way out of line and im getting bonnet brush when I turn the pop up lights on. So the guy came out and I knew straight away this was a wastre of time, he basically kept saying he wouldnt be able to quote on the work without stripping her down, Id never asked for a quote all I was after was confident YES I can do this (or at least make it better). So rather than go through the motions with guys that just want the easy money for a insurance work can someone recommend a place with experience at all?

Thanks in Advance

Ian (Sidcup area)

Hi Ian

I can't help with your chosen area but if you want to try a little further north I can recommend 911 Bodyshop in Wembley North London, the owner 'Chris' knows these cars inside out, he has my 951 there now awaiting a small repair panel from 'Classic car parts and panels' which hopefully will be ready some time next week. He's a very busy man, though, his workshop was full of Porsche's when I dropped my car off so there may be a delay. Give him a call and see, he's been looking after the bodywork on my car since I've owned it , more than 17 years now...number is 020 8900 0572.

regards

Pete
