Hi all

Can someone help me identify/find a spoiler I have found a photo of, I think it was made by Faho in Austria, please find a photo of said spoiler/splitter.

Made by FOHA and were a dealer option. Rare as hens teeth. Been looking for one for ages. I have only seen two in real life.

Club auto sport have something similar may even be a copy

Thanks T3rra

Looks good, I have emailed them, as you said the 944 2.5 version looks very similar, has anyone dealt with club auto sport, according to the site they seem to have been around for a while.

Nice car that Black one - love the spoiler...Lol
Shure is, sorry Andy didn't know it was yours, found it on tinternet, is it lowered as it looks lower than my black 944S, I had 996 GT3 wheels on mine but changed to 17" cup 1, wish I hadn't, nice car.

No worries Dave, she was a STD height in that pic, a TAD lower here........

Thanks Andy,

Nice but I liked the original (just personal preference), did you sell your Split Rims ?

This was mine with the GT3 wheels, now undergoing, sills, brakes and whatever else turn up (I may be some time) :ROFLMAO:

Both of those in that pic look very nice, yes I agree and a suspension swop with the track car is planned for mid February with the help of PIE Performance, Spax coilovers onto the track car (Doris) and STD suspension back on mine (Kitt)

Sport Design's sold and now on 16" Teledials, such a better ride......:)

Thanks Andy, had them both for a few years now, found another mod that I was contemplating but not sure, I think its a 924 turbo badge panel, opinions welcomed.

The website is a horrendous affront to my eyes and you're best off picking up the phone to speak to them (I think it's Richard) - quality is a bit hit and miss so you'll need to factor in some prep work on the FG.

Not to my taste, but each to their own. It's not the worst cosmetic mod ever done to a 944!

However do poke around a bit on here to find out what effect they have on under-bonnet airflow. Suffice it to say that they don't seem to have as positive effect as people may imagine. There was quite a lot of chat about it on the thread by the chap who is putting a Supra engine into his 944.

Oli.

Yup - as Oli says they're not without their challenges. I have a vented panel on mine but just for looks as I've left the intercooler scoop in place underneath. People with 944 Turbos fit these and then remove the intercooler scoop and end up with worse airflow due to the high vs low pressure areas.

On a NA you're not going to have the same issues so if you like the look of it then go for it, the only thing it will do is increase airflow into the engine bay and create lift - but it will be negligible unless you're at licence-losing speeds.

Thanks Oli/Eldavo

I fancied the badge panel for the look, but I intend to go to Germany next year, so wouldn't want to be on an Autobahn with lift under the front bonnet.

Re Club Auto Sport, I contacted them via email and had a very quick reply (I agree that the website is a challange) the prices on the website are out of date and don't mention costs are plus Vat and delivery, so a bit more than I had budgeted for, but I still like the look and will probably go ahead and get one later this year.

I wouldn't worry about it - there's more air under a Turbo bonnet due to the intercooler airflow too.

If if you look here you'll see that point 10 is a neutral/negative pressure area so you'd get air stall at speed.

I'm not sure how this ^^ relates to pressure on the underside of a 944 turbo bonnet with it's different front bumper and undertrays ? I know without the undertrays at close to flat out the steering went unsettlingly light though. I've thought about a couple of small Jag/Aston type vents towards the rear of my bonnet in light of that. My old 3 dr Cosworth felt rock solid flat out.

This just shows the external pressure on the overall shape of the car in different zones - I used it make sure that I was putting my bonnet vents in a suitable low pressure zone.

Agreed that without the undertrays on, a Turbo can generate serious lift!
