random hero

New member
I bought this car just for some parts i need and am breaking the rest of the car for spares which is all it was fit for as its 2 parts welded together and the floor is in that poor condition it would have been a death trap in the event of an accident !!.Interior is sold but most other parts avalible.

does it have a k and n air filter fitted i would like one of them and ht leads for spares depending on price[;)]

Unless you're on a really tight budget wouldn't you be better springing for a new K&N? I know they say they last a million miles or somesuch nonsense, but a new one is going to be better than a used one of unknown provenance, surely? You'll have to clean and oil the used one in any case. A used air filter is like used socks [:'(]

I might be able to find you some worn brake pads and a rusty disk. I've also got 5l of engine oil I dropped out of my Cherokee that has only done a few thousand miles. Sorry; I don't think the old filter would fit.

Hi

Would I be right to guess this is a square dash model?

If not I'd like the fog light switches.

Also even if it is a square dash, can you (or anyone for that matter) tell me if the hatch will fit a 1986 Lux. Ditto the valance fog lights - I need the passenger side one.

Ladies please!

*eta: the hatch and foglights are identical*

Yes this is an early dash model,i also have a load of parts off a 1990 S2 and might have some fog light switches. One light lense is cracked but i think its the drivers side ,i'll double check tomorrrow.

I looked hard at the photo - I think your right - the drivers side is cracked - looks very much like the hole in the one I have on the passenger side. PM me with the price for all the bits. Are you ever down south?

bit of an odd question but, can you tell me if the rear hatch glass is properly bonded - I want the hatch cos mine leaks !!

Hi,

I'm in need of the front OS 'bit that braces the corner of the lower front valance inside the wheel arch' [:)]
I think that's the recognised title.

EDIT: would actually be interested in the whole valance depending on what you want for it as mine has a crack in it. PM me if you want.

Ian, if that is the bit that I think it is watch out as it comes in two versions. Ask me how I know. What is the part number of yours....?
