This car is for sale on Belgian eBay. Looks to be based on a 944 .... but description says it is a 2,000cc Turbo .... so 924 ?

Yup, that car was offered by a dealer about 10 miles from my home town. It is a 924 turbo (i havent got my notes but S2 I seem to remember) chassis which was converted by DP in germany. IIRC it was one of the later conversions, equipped with the 944 S2/turbo spoiler. Usually based on a 944, they could basically take whatever chassis. Its called the 944 Cargo.

and a few gratious pictures

Welcome to pm me if I can be of any use as I will be over in B the weekend of sept 1.

It was offered for about 25000 euros but he had it at least 18 months.

Best regards,

Bert

Thanks for the extra information Bert.
I was interested to see this conversion because it is very similar in concept to the Scimitar GTE that I ran for several years.

Mind you I dumped the cast-iron V6 (I think the Americans call it a 'boat anchor'!) within days and engineered in a 3.5 Rover V8 with the 5 speed box. Effortless top gear cruising on a 28.5 mph per 1000 rpm ratio.
