Bigger Brakes and thicker hubs.
Thicker ARB's
LSD some 220's had one
Gearbox Cooler - some 220s had one
Larger washer bottle (assuming fluids are included)
Etc.

Why would an 220 turbo be nearly 100kg less than a 250bhp?

I think the 250 turbo weights more like 1400-1450kgs in reality. Something that i will be checking in few weeks once mine finally hits the road.

Get in touch about that nearer the time, i have found out there is one just 2 miles from my house, tucked up a back street - it is for the public to use ! nominal charge i think.

Be good to compare the Turbo 250 with the S2 on same rollers with same full fuel on same day, might settle a few discussions once and for all.

Top man, will do could do it on the Friday, if you are not putting your S2 into Peters, just need to make sure it will be open..

A little odd - the 944S is consistantly slower 0-to-something than the 944

It was the several thousand ££££££££ in crisp notes in the boot (to bribe a mechanic to work on it) which was slowing it down. And the automotive engineer stuffed in the bratt racks in the rear. Make that two engineers (they will need to confere). Stunted leg growth, with Mensa membership. And a Bank manager 'tut tuting' in the passenger seat, a calculator on each knee. Glove compartment full of maxed out credit cards. Sound of 16 valves belting piston crowns wafting in the window, ICV siezing, AFM beggering up, waterpump going but not going etc etc etc.

Do I have issues? Maybe. I also know the internals of a 16 valve engine a little too well for economic comfort. And reading what amounts to a rather poor show for a massively more complex engine has not made me skip with glee. Now.... where is that branch I keep for occassions like this....
