944 running rich

So after getting my 944 lux back from the body shop , my 944 is running to rich the fumes are very strong... Any ideas on what it could be . Also the electric window on the passenger side wont open and it wont open either using the control for it on the drivers side .

You didn't say what or where the bodyshop was working on so its difficult to diagnose anything. I'd be looking for loose connectors - especially on temp sensors, etc. For the window - this sounds like what would happen if the switch on the door was unplugged (the drivers door switch wire for other window runs over there so if neither switch operates the window I would look at the switch on that window). When removing the passenger doorcard on my car to research window positioning - I had the wires "fall out" of the switch - bad solders...so if they were working in that area it may have happened to you...

I wonder is it running rich or are you smelling exhaust fumes and the body shop haven't fitted a seal properly? as Bruce says, what work did the body shop do?

Pete

Have you had the spark plugs out? Probably best to do this before declaring it to be running rich. Remember not to let the car idle before taking them out for inspection or they'll probably look black even if the car's running ok.
Does sound like you need to double check everything the garage may have done.

Hi ,,, it had a full respray , i have changed the air filter .... and spark plugs , you can smell fumes from the exhaust when the sunroof is open and the windows .... the tailgate shuts fine.
