944 S bottom end

Hi all, does anyone have a 944S bottom end up for grabs. Have a car here with a nicely shredded No 1 piston. I was wondering if the standard 2.5 bottom end is the same as the 16V engine? The head is mint on the car, seems a shame to break it.
