This a common problem with all soft tops with the plastic rear window.
The reason it goes like that is down to thousands of little scratches on the surface. You can get rid of these in 2 ways, firstly the labour intensive way by polishing it using toothpaste, which is a mild abrasive, or by getting some proper soft top window polish, which takes time, but not as long as tooth paste. You can get this from most Halfords, but there is a product advertised in Porsche Post that is brilliant, but I can't remember what it is called, but the advert shows a Triumph Stag (I think???) with half the window done.
It will take a LONG time to polish out the scratches, but it is worth it. The one thing you must do from then on is make sure you polish it regularly, as it doesn't take long for it to start to go milky again.
Hope this helps.

Phil

Hindsight I would guess?
Porsche also make a cleaner. Works well but is a little to abrasive for regular use.
Zymol make a kit for cleaning the soft rear window which gets good reviews.
I just used Halford's own PVC window polish and it came up a treat. I did it almost a year ago and it's still perfectly acceptable but I am going to go over it again when I find time.

All these products are good if used regularly but do remember that toothpaste is the only one to prevent plaque and unwanted cavities [][][]
