Just a quick one if i may.....Is the fuel tank in a s2 made from metal and if so are they prone to rusting....and as im on the subject whats the best, cheapest and easy way to replace rusted fuel lines...

Many Thanks.

Steve.

I thought the later fuel tanks were plastic?

My fuel line had only gone in one small area so had it patched with a flexi. I'm sure some will say that's sacrilege but it's held fine for two MOTs....[8|]

Same as mine Paul.... it only seems to have rusted around the torsion bar area which looks like an easyish fix.... just not sure what type of lines to use, where from and if its as easy as it looks to replace !!!![:)].

The tanks are plastic but the pump cover is metal as are the straps. On mine the strap rusted through and I dragged the strap & the cover home from a TIPEC meet! I made one from alloy strip whilst the mega expensive OPC replacement was one its way. As in most things the temp one is still on.
