944 S2 Paint

I need to get a small bit of painting done on my 1991 low miles 944S2. I want to be sure to get the correct paint match.
Which label on the car will give me the correct paint code and what format does the code take . Can anyone advise.

Thanks

Gordon,

There should be a label in the boot between the rear lights. The same label can also be found in the front of the service booklet.

The paint code will be something like LB7V or LY3V.

I wouldn` rely on the code alone as the paint on you car will have faded / bleached by the sun ect you may want to use the code and a match card to help you find the right blend, ps i have never seen a panel blown back in that matched, be careful pay top price and be fussy as f**k about the finish and make the body shop redo it if your not happy, my dad had his own automotive bissiness for years and all the trainees he worked with and when he got trained started on the small jobs.....filling sanding masking and spaying.......
