Whilst taking my 1990 944 S2 out last night, i noticed that when i flashed another car, my car sped up.
It turns out that my car revs a few hundred RPM when i flash my lights.

Anyone come across this before or have any ideas how to stop it??

Hasn't happened to me but it seems similar to what happens when you turn on the AC compressor - engine speed is increased. In the case of AC you are getting significant drag from the compressor which knocks back the rpm close to normal but when flashing the lights there is no significant draw on the alternator so the RPM increase is very noticeable. I would start by checking the fuse box for any corrosion or grease/dirt that may be allowing a current leak between the relays - e.g. headlight relay to fan relay.
