Simple. Horses cost an obscene amount of money to run, an S2 would be far more in keeping with the new age of austerity.

Does Mrs J not understand this? Try explaining it this evening, possibly during her favourite programme for added emphasis. [;)]

I can confirm that it's a superb example - George bought it from us and has addressed the only downside - scrappy paintwork around the sills (genuinely just scrappy as opposed to rusting through).

Last time I saw it was in the car-park at Glasgow airport, and it looked fantastic. [8D]

There's something a bit wrong about considering buying your old car back isn't there..... [&:]

Makes perfect sense to me, sell when you want rid of it, get someone else to spend some cash fixing it and then buy it back for less than you sold it in the first place !! Go onyou know you want to

George - Looks nice, shame you're selling. I just passed the 14 year ownership post at end of Apr for mine. If you don't mind me asking who did the work on your sills and wings and approx how much (know it was in 08) as mine are starting to go, or could anyone recommend someone in the Glasgow area.

Dont know if selling is the right word......not much biting at the moment, so might have to do a slight adjustment on the old price.

The sills and wings were done by Buchan Auto's over Cambuslaing way. I sort of know Ewan Buchan and he is an ex 944 S2, Turbo and 968 owner so he knows them inside out. Total cost for both sides was approx £1600 and that was wings off, back to bare metal, rustproofing, cutting out the small rusted bits and then build back up. Took about 3 weeks, lots of photo's etc and hopefully will be good for another 20 years now !!
