944 Scottish Tour - an invitation

As some of you may be aware, I'm organising a Scottish Tour for the 944 Register. We have some spare places and I'm wondering if there's anyone in the 924 forum who'd like to come along.

Details are now pretty much finalised and I'm looking for takers for the last three places - we have room for three more couples or six singles, depending on how flexible you are with accommodation[;)]

Sign up now - this promises to be a really memorable trip.

Dates: Saturday 28th May to Saturday 4th June.

Location: Newmiln House, near Perth

Accommodation: Newmiln House is a mansion-style house that will accommodate about 18 people in 8 twin/double rooms, with a few single rooms over. This has been booked on an exclusive basis, i.e. just us there at that time. It will be self-catering - though the option for catered meals exists at extra cost.

We are limited by constraints on accommodation to a maximum of 16 people, although this is slightly flexible depending on how we arrange the accommodation. It is probably not feasible to conduct the event with fewer than 12 people attending.

There is limited availability of single rooms which would be charged pro rata.

Activities: I will be aiming to do three day-long drives that will take in a variety of roads and attractions. This is not primarily a driving event, but there will be a day or two where you'll be able to cover some bigger mileages (maybe upwards of 200 miles) on roads chosen for their interest to the driver and general scenic-ness.

Costs: For the house, it's likely to be approximately (and no more than) £450 per two persons for the 3 nights. Meals etc will be extra depending on what you prefer - there is a fully-equipped kitchen at all of the locations we're considering.

I would need an immediate deposit of one third of the price (i.e. £150) to secure the accommodation, with the balance due by the end of March 05.

If you would like to go, please e-mail me at nfearn@saratoga.co.uk confirming

i) your interest
ii) Number of people in your "group"
iii) that you will forward me a cheque for £150 per two persons for the deposit. No cheques will be cashed until the booking is firm and the event confirmed. However, once the booking is made the deposit is non-refundable unless I can "sell" your places to someone else.

Please note that I need confirmed interests rather than "possibles" at this stage as the accommodation needs to be booked sooner rather than later.

Please call me on 07714 672077 if you have any questions concerning the above.
