hi, I am looking to get the engine mounts done for my 944 (just got it) and was wondering if anyone can recommend a specialist around the nottingham area? cheers!

Depends which side of Nottingham you are

ph sportscars in Shardlow - just of M1 J24 (Call on paul's mobile 07768324150)
or
Zentrum - somewhere near Calverton I think

I've used them both - PH are cheaper & much nearer to me. Zentrum is a bit smarter...

Porsche Centre Leicester are just down the road, call Gary the service manager,he loves 944s and has a 944S2 himself, will look after club members very enthusiastically.Today in their workshop they had a 944,a 1970s 911,911 carrera 3.2 and a 930 Turbo in the corner. They love the older cars.Worth a call.

ahhhhhh :p see, it really is worth asking round here. Ok will heed that advice. I'll call around tomorrow and see who gives me the best price.

Having said that, by any chance do you know a good place to buy the part? I've done a bit of research and looks like I will need a proper hydraulic mount than just full rubber.

I might just end up clearing my garage and doing it over the weekend myself :D

A messy split is one way of describing it. I cant describe what appears to have actually happened without breaking every name & shame rule, but the accusations are extremely serious and of a criminal nature.

looks like I will have to get it done over at ph sportscars :D definitely gave me the cheapest quote so far. I would like to DIY but no time at all. :/

I am aware of some of what was meant to have gone on, but have only heard one side of the story. Nevertheless I have known PH for 20 years and still go there.

Ive only heard Pauls side as well, but even if its only one quarter true then its extremely serious.

Spill the beans then ? Was he robbing Porsche cars on the side ? Was he trafficking arms ? Was he trafficking people in Porsches ?

How serious was it ?
