944 speedos

A couple of things...
First, can you get through a MOT with a kmph speedo these days?
Second, how much does a mph one cost (was quoted £45 by one second hand parts place).
Third, what is an oval dash? Does my '84 LHD 2.5 Lux have one or does this belong to a later model?
Finally, :) is the early 944 instrumentation the same as the 924... (different top speed so I wouldn't have thought so but have seen '924/944' instrumentation for sale).
Thanks, and is any one person knows all the answers, I'll be impressed.

Here goes...

MOT - I have never had a problem.... 3 LHD cars with kmh speedos

I'd say £45 then !. New I don't know, but that price seems pretty reasonable to me

Oval Dash - Well, the early 944's had 3 individual round gauges in an instrument binnacle, just like a 924 except they were yellow instead of white or green. Later cars had an all in one instrument panel, which was oval in shape and flat with no separation between instruments.

Hope that helps [:)]
