944 Sun roof cable replacement

hi guys can anyone point me in the direction of a replacement sunroof cable for my 88' 944? Pick her up Wednesday (ah . . . my 1st porsche) £3200 85,000 gen miles all belts changed bargain! But the cable needs changing . . .

Where the best place to source one from? Any hints and tips on changing it?

.......and call your local Porsche centre, or better still Adrian Oxley at Porsche Centre Exeter. He has been very helpful to Register members, knows 944s very well and will mailorder whatever you need.

Odd little parts like these are very often cheapest from Porsche. An independant parts outfit will often buy these from Porsche and then sell on at a premium because most if us automatically think 'oooh Porsche will be really expensive'
