944 suspension top mount

are the top front sus strut mounts the same on a lux as they are on a turbo as am after a strut brace for it and wondered if a turbo one would fit.

Yes, the top mount hole positions are the same on all 4 cylinder cars, from the 924 through to the 968.

The actual top mounts themselves are the same between Turbo and Lux models, for a given year of production.

Notable changes are:
- Late offset (1987 ""on) cars use an improved top mount with different geometry to account for the increased inclination angle of the Macpherson strut.
- '87 -> '90 Cars with M030 suspension used the same basic design of top mount as the std late offset cars, but with higher shore hardness rubber. These are usually denoted by a green paint mark.

I seem to remember (having recently fitted a strut brace myself) that the main difference between braces is to do with the engine type (8v vs 16v) and clearing the fuel rail and inlet manifold. The strut tops are the same fitment irrespective of model
