944 Turbo Cab... Interested ?

Guest

New member
Folks,

In about 3 weeks I'll be selling my J reg, cobalt blue (I think), Navy hooded 944 Turbo. She has the grey leather and has covered about 150K miles, recent work includes belts, brakes etc.... Lots of history but not all Offiicial/Approved Porsche.

I'd like her to go to a good home so am posting here first, if none of you folks can offer her this then I'll post her on Ebay.

For a quick sale I'm looking for offers in excess of £6K.

If interested in more details prior to sale please email orsebox@hotmail.com

Thanks

If it truly is Cobalt blue I'd have bitten your hand off last week, but asn I have since bought an MX5 and a SEAT Ibiza I'll have to pass I'm afraid.

No worries Fen, I hope she does go to a good home but she will have to go somewhere as I need the Garage space.

I am quite gutted - I have only ever seen Cobalt/cobalt/grey in pictures and it looks awesome, but I thought if I held out for one I'd never find it. Typical![FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Does it look like this one?[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Actually, if it does can you send me some pics and more info. It's the right time of year to sell an MX5 if yours is the right car and you can hang on to it for a few weeks.

Sticker in the rear panel or the identical one in the service book. On a J it can only have been Cobalt, Tahoe (which is lighter and brighter and which I don't really care for) or Glacier which is almost silver. If it is close to the same colour as the hood it's Cobalt.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Where are you in the world?[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I'll try and get some Pics tomorrow if the weather holds out and will send you some more detailed info.

Sounds too good to be true and it looks like its down your neck of the woods too.

Everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when they heard that you'd become a ricer[;)].

This is your shot at redemption[:)]

Go on.....You know you want to[:D]

Ah yes, I remember that thread. Not too far to go and look hopefully then, too.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]As for being a ricer... Mazda took the Lotus Elan and made a decent job of building it. It's a British sportscar in all but unreliability. Really.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

As for being a ricer...

Just Joking. I'd never even heard of a ricer until someone joked about it on here the other day.

I'm just envious that you could end up with the same car as mine for four grand less[]

I know you were joking but in all seriousness I don't consider the 5 to be rice; I tend to think of Civics and Lancers and Imprezas as true rice.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]It is a little more Japanese than it needs to be, but mine really is the exact spec I'd have chosen from the factory: Mk1 so the "true" MX5 with pop-up lights, black with a black hood and black leather, wind-up windows, no central locking, no air-con, no hard-top, 1.8 engine, 15" alloys (though I'd prefer Superlights), rear chassis brace (in chrome which looks quite good) and now without the "wood" dash trim that was actually Fablon with some sort of plastic coating that was delaminating. It has PAS, which I am not totally sure is necessary on something so small and light but which helps to resell it. It has a proper stick-on front plate now, too [:)][FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Hi,

I'm in the market for a decent cabrio and the Turbo appeals. Can you send me more info on the car, some photos and your location?

Cash available if its the right car for me.

Thanks in advance,

Derek

Slightly OT .....

For those of you confused by the 'Ricer' term (like I was) see --> this <--

Although I am not sure it helps as there are 92 definitions for a Ricer.

Cheers on the sticker bit, according to the maint book she's Cobalt. I'll get some pics if it bloody stops raining...

OK folks, the time has come and this will be posted onto Ebay Sunday evening... Again, if interest please let me know as I'd prefer not to have the hassle. I'll let it go before the auction for £4700 or try your luck next week - I need the Garage space...

It needs a bit of TLC but represents a great Summer bargain, I've driven it to London and West Wales this week and it didn't miss a beat. It has a full year MOT and I've just repaired a rust problem at the bottom of one of the wings.

For more info please email me on ktelling@gmail.com or contact me on 07976 932626

Thanks all.

What TLC does it need to complete???

Just wondering how I could fit 2 cars in a single garage [:)] Hoist!!!

cheers

Lee
