944 Turbo decat pipe

I would say yes, because looking at PET the part numbers for the rear box and the downpipe that bolt either side of the cat are the same if its a cat or not.

A decat pipe surely is designed to fit a car with a cat, isn't it.

I agree with Paul that the silencer from a car that had no factory cat would also fit but... given that Porsche claimed the same power figures for cat and non-cat versions and I have never heard anyone claim the factory non-cat cars were more powerful I'm guessing the silencer is pretty restrictive. For that reason I'd go with a decat pipe, by which I mean a bit of pipe of the correct length with flanges to suit, designed to replace the cat rather than a silencer/resonator that was originally fitted insead of a cat.

All i really want it a stainless front section to replace my knackered one and as i already have the stainless rear section i want the front to match. I cant afford to but new but theres a decat front section for sale second hand so just wanted to know if it will physically fit !!

I would therefore expect it to be a straight through bit of pipe, which is what you want IMO. It's worth considering if it is aftermarket that it may not have standard connections, which presumably your back section does if it's currently attached to the OE cat section?

My Hayward & Scott joined together in the same place and with the same flange as standard and I expect most will (so the manufacturer can sell half a system), but aside H&S I don't know for sure which do.

The front section is an ess with a middle box fitted and has a square flange where it joins the rear section. I havent fitted the rear onto my car (b&b tri-flow) but that has the same square flange as far as i can tell. My car is'nt fitted with a cat.

No the two are different as the turbo decat has a secondary pipe for the wastegate.

I sold my turbo decat section to Damon "Black_JPN" and I seem to recall he later posted that it turned out that he didn't need it afterall as his car didn't have a cat ! Maybe he still has it and is looking to sell it on ?
