any 944 turbo for sale!? seem no one reply on member;s wanted forum

i am looking for 944 turbo as a second car for trackday project any sujection!? for 944 s2 better for tuning!?

If you're wanting to tune you will definately get more bang for your bucks with a turbo. I believe that you have to spend alot of money on an S2 to get relatively modest gains. However the S2 driving style might be more to your liking and on some tracks will have an advantage over a turbo.

There's a few on pistonheads. From memory, there's a turbo S for £5500 which looks like it might be worth a look.

I did reply to you by the way, in the thread and by e-mail ( assuming you're "Barry" ) [:)]

Oh, and do your research, and LOTS of it. I spent months looking before I got my Turbo, and from all my reading, the one bit of advice I heard over and over was that if you buy the wrong turbo it'll be roughly as expensive as a crack addiction, and about half as fulfilling [;)]

i don know ! if i get those aftermarket lsd and leda suspenion kit , seem not worth it to get the 944 turbo model after the year 89 which has m030 option and plate type lsd!?

plus i have a set of brake disc from my 996 c4s!

Yep, that's where I get to. Mine is one of the early turbo's and so far i've uprated the front brakes and the suspension and hubs are getting done soon, then all that is left is the diff which this baby would sort out, however the later 250 turbos did have strengthened 1st & 2nd gears, oil coolers, strengthened drive shafts and bigger front hubs so there is still some beneficial parts on the 250 turbo's other than the LSD. For track use what you might be better off doing if you end up with a 250 turbo and are wanting to uprate the diff, you could flog the 250 turbo gearbox - they are always in demand, and get an S2 box and fit the fancy diff. Granted you wont have the hardened 1st & 2nd gears or the oil cooler - but do you really need it? (the 968 didn't) and you'll have the lower gearing of the S2, so on track it'd be like a rocket out of the slow corners - though I guess the first gear will be pretty useless.

what other suspension kit are good for the car !? compare to leda!? i heard kw also good how about eibach!?

Depending on how much you want to spend, I know of a 3 owner 80k mile Black 1990 944 turbo with 968 CS M030 ARBs and Suspension.

....cars like this don't come cheap ;)

hi davyboy!

how much would they like to go for!? maybe i don need M030 option due to i will get those aftermarket tune up!

i can get 20%-25% off from apracing as i live in coventry area!plus i will use quaife lsd and kw or leda suspension kit!

I've sent you an email.

We might be a bit away from what we expect the cars value to be. I'd expect a slight premium for my newish 968 M030 stuff, and if you're just going to take it off, it seems a bit pointless. What I would say is before I had the M030 I had Leda and it rattled, creaked, corroded, and finally broke.

If you live in the Coventry area you are not far from me, I'm J16 of the M1.

As for price thats negotiable, the car is booked in to have some work done towards the end of april. It needs a service, wheel bearing and drive shaft. Clearly if you wanted it prior to that, I'd take that in to account.

Actually we might be a million miles away....when I see the word "project", I think "cheap car".

Mine isn't and wont be [8D]

It would proably suit someone better who wanted a "nice" example of a 944 turbo.

Davyboy - I don't want to do you out of a sale, but given that your expectations and Bazza's desires seem to be at odds, hopefully posting this won't offend .....

There's a car being sold HERE that may be of interest. Only know of it as it's being discussed on another forum. (you need to scroll down ~ can't link directly to the popup for the car).

Looks like a lot of the mods may be of interest, not too many miles and it's keenly priced.

I have absoultely no idea on condition or history however, and no affliliation with the seller.

Doesn't offend me at all.

I've seen this car advertised for a while, either it keeps being resold or moves dealers.

It looks good I must admit.

Davys is definitely too good to be a project car [] It would be a crime (almost) to start stripping his interior to become a dedicated track car.
