1986 WHITE PORSCHE 944 TURBO - LIB 6009

Can anyone please help us with information regarding this lovely classic white turbo please?
We know it has been owned by a PCGB member recently, does anyone know them?

Hi,

It's not on the 944 register, how do you know it's been owned by a PCGB member? Often there are stickers in the car that go back several owners.
Sadly many owners never register their cars. It's so easy to do, either on the website or by calling Club office.

It's quite a distinctive number plate but I have certainly never seen it out and about at shows or meets.

Most of the thousands of club members never go to meetings so its quite possible none of us know anything about this one []

Ditto. There was a time, back in the day, when you would have been able to check through Rick Cannell's on line library of millions of cars.

Thanks for the update guys.
The car has a PCGB sticker in the window, and we were hoping that being an early, low mileage car (with a distinctive reg) it would be a well known car.

I doubt PCGB would help us trace its owner due to data protection etc, so I guess we will have to try some other avenues.

I don't think that has anything to do with it and PCGB will always endeavour to help members. If the car isn't registered with The Club, The Club doesn't have any information on it.

It is many years since I have done it but I seem to recall you could get details of previous owners from the DVLA. Perhaps data protection means that is no longer the case.

Crikey.... I'd have thought I'd have come across it then with years of front engine Porsche spotting up here. Who has looked after it? Brian Millar? Have you posted in the Scotland section yet?

Can I ask what is your interest in this car ? I have been a Scottish PCGB member since 1992 and a SRO in the nineties and cannot say the car has crossed my path nor does the owners name ring any bells .As has been posted try Brian Miller 0131 443 7806 Motortune Shotts 01501 822 247 both companies have been around Porsches for many a year and may know this car .The sticker on the rear screen has some detail perhaps that is an avenue .You could try contacting Scott the SRO to see if he had the owner on his data base .

Brian Miller is your best bet as he knows what's about. I don't recognise the car and might have noticed as I had one. There is a car dealer on the west of edinburgh who has family LIB plates but it's a long shot. Good luck.
